About the Role

Do you enjoy driving and meeting new people? Do you want to help your community? Would you be able to volunteer some of your time to help us at Droitwich CVS?


We are looking for volunteer drivers to help transport local residents. This could include taking people to hospital appointments, social clubs, to see family and friends, hairdressers, shops, dentists etc. You have the choice to use you own car or one of our wheelchair accessible vehicals. 


How far you drive, and how often you drive is up to you! Whether you are available on a regular or occasional basis, for local journeys or journeys further afield we would love to hear from you.


Our team and volunteer drivers work together to deliver a great service to the residents of Droitwich Spa and surrounding areas. We're proud to help the community to maintain their independence and stay connected with others.

About the Organisation

We are part of a national network for Councils of Voluntary Services. We work locally to support, promote and develop local voluntary action. Droitwich CVS was Established in 1985 and has worked closely with the community ever since.


We aim to:

  • Encourage a vibrant, strong and caring community.

  • We partner with voluntary organisations, community groups, local and central government.

  • We provide opportunities for connections by managing 3 community spaces, available to hire for activities, meetings and clubs.

  • We run a Community Transport scheme, which is crucial to help the community stay connected and maintain we prioritise independence in our community.

  • We also act as a signposting service to those who need help accessing information or solutions to problems and hardships they may be facing.
