About the Role

Community Story  Collectors Wanted!  Full training provided.  Limited places available.  We are looking for volunteers for our Willow Court Farmhouse  Memories Project. Volunteers will receive training to conduct in person interviews with residents and former residents of Boycot  Farmhouse and the surrounding Westlands Estate.  If you love talking and listening to the stories and lives of others and  are interested in the history of Boycot, The Westlands or Droitwich, this  would be a fabulous opportunity for you!  You will work alongside professional oral historian Julia Letts, receiving  free professional training and helping preserve the fascinating recent  history of a local landmark.  Amazing opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people,  get free professional training and work with a small team to  uncover memories of Boycot Farmhouse and the early days  of the Westlands estate.  The project will run from March to  September 2025.  If you are available 2/3 mornings a month  and are interested in getting involved, go to  the webpage below and find the “Willow  Court Farmhouse Memories Project” section  to apply and find out more!  The deadline is the 8th of February so don’t  miss out!  wmhbt.org.uk/blog/willow-court farmhouse-droitwich

About the Organisation

We are three building preservation trusts all based in the West Midlands, working together to share our knowledge and experience to save Historic Buildings at Risk.

We are made up of: The West Midlands Historic Buildings Trust, the Worcestershire Building Preservation Trust, and the City of Wolverhampton Regenerating Buildings Preservation Trust.

We aim to safeguard buildings of historical and/or architectural importance, within the West Midlands and Worcestershire, which are in danger of being lost.

As well as projects to protect and rescue historic buildings, the Trusts organise a range of activities to encourage and involve our members and local communities.
