FAQs

If you have a question about volunteering that is not listed here, please email lorna@droitwichcvs.org.uk or call us on 01905 779115.

Who can volunteer?

Anyone! You can volunteer whatever your age, job status or abilities. Just as with paid work, some volunteer opportunities require certain skills or qualifications but the role description will make this clear.

How much of my time will it take up?

This is entirely up to you. Volunteering can take anything from an hour a month to a few days a week or be a one-time commitment. When deciding how often you would like to volunteer, think about how much time you could realistically commit.

What do I get out of it?

Each person is different. You might make new friends, gain more confidence, new skills, more self-esteem, work experience, something useful to add to your CV, life skills. The organisation where you volunteer will usually give you a reference, too, when you leave.

How do I get started?

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer then please download and complete the Volunteer Application Form and return it to the below email address when making an enquiry. Alternatively please call us on the below number to arrange a suitable time to pop into the office to collect an application form and discuss volunteering. We will then have a look at your application form and get in touch with you with suggestions of relevant volunteer opportunities.
