What is Droitwich CVS?
A Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) is an independent local voluntary organisation that exists to support, promote and develop local voluntary action. As a CVS, we have a strong commitment to working in partnership with voluntary organisations, community groups and other relevant bodies, such as local and central government.
The voluntary and community sector is increasingly expected to meet higher levels of professionalism and effectiveness. Consequently, there is a growing need for the support and advice that is offered by the CVS network.
What Do We Do?
We act as an umbrella body for the community and voluntary sector in Droitwich Spa and the surrounding rural areas.
DCVS supports local interest and community groups in a variety of ways that benefit the residents of Droitwich and surrounding villages.
We hold many events in our premises including community training programs such as First Aid, Safeguarding and other courses. Anyone can hire our rooms which are a variety of sizes and can be used for meetings, workshops or personal offices. We have watercolour, sewing, tai chi, singing and other classes.
